Many of us saw it coming — and this video shows exactly why predator-proofing matters. After rushing to finish a chicken coop before a honeymoon, the builder skipped on fencing and used plastic netting. Months later, raccoons found a hidden way in, feasting nightly on feed from the rafters.
Now he’s upgrading the entire setup: installing black hardware cloth, burying fencing, redesigning the run with sand and wood chips, adding motion lights, and even setting up a heat lamp for the winter.
