Prime Minister Mark Carney acknowledged that illegal firearms smuggled from the U.S. were likely used in recent shootings in Hamilton, Ontario. Despite this, he continues to support broad gun bans introduced by former PM Justin Trudeau. “I suspect the guns used here are from the U.S.,” Carney said Wednesday, referencing a wave of violence over the past two months that left several injured and at least two dead.
