Preparing kids for emergencies is just as vital as stocking supplies. Teach age-appropriate skills: calm talks for toddlers, hands-on drills for grade schoolers, and real responsibilities for teens. Empower them with routines, safety basics, first aid, radios, and go-bags. Practice often, keep it fun, and involve them in planning. Confidence comes from repetition, responsibility, and you modeling what you teach.
