Vending machine dispenses needles, “booty bumping” kits meters from school

Andre Fortier has lived on Huntley St. for 26 years, once calling it Toronto’s best-kept secret. But now, drug use and violence have taken over. Addicts have set up tents behind his building, loiter on sidewalks, harass residents, and break windows. Fortier says the once peaceful Jarvis and Bloor area has become unsafe, and he’s ready to move. Residents feel abandoned as the situation spirals out of control in downtown Toronto.
