The U.K. will launch its largest pandemic response drill, Exercise Pegasus, between Sept–Nov 2025. Spanning all regions and departments, it’s the first of its kind in nearly a decade. A new “resilience academy” will train 4,000+ public and private sector personnel annually for emergency roles, Minister Pat McFadden told Parliament on July 8.
