Charged under the Terrorism Act, officers demanded his phone PIN, which he refused to provide, saying it contained sensitive information as a journalist. In a later video, he claimed he feared police could tamper with his sources and accused authorities of covering up crimes by so-called “Islamic grooming gangs” in the UK.
