The floor plan shown on page 1 includes dedicated feed storage and equipment storage areas, while the central cage arrangement maximizes animal density while maintaining access for feeding, watering, and cleaning.
A major focus of the design is environmental management. The cross-sectional drawings on page 1 and roof-vent details on page 2 show a large ridge ventilation system, open wire-mesh sidewalls, elevated cages, and gutter systems positioned beneath stacked cages. These features help control temperature, humidity, odors, and manure accumulation while promoting airflow throughout the structure. The plans also illustrate cage spacing, watering systems, feeders, truss construction, roofing materials, and foundation details.
The publication also discusses expansion options. The structure can be lengthened to increase capacity, and cages may be stacked two or three levels high to maximize space efficiency. The guide notes that additional structural reinforcement would be required if cages are suspended from roof trusses. Overall, the plan provides a practical blueprint for building a scalable rabbit-production facility capable of supporting meat production, breeding programs, educational operations, or self-sufficiency projects.
