Salmonella outbreak traced to imported pistachio cream declared over

The CDC has declared the Salmonella Oranienburg outbreak linked to Emek Pistachio Cream over. Four patients were identified—one in Minnesota, three in New Jersey—with one hospitalization. The last illness onset was May 19. Many more cases likely went undetected. The product, made in Turkey, was recalled on July 19 after testing confirmed Salmonella. It should no longer be available for sale.
