Pennsylvania officials issue public health warning about raw, unpasteurized milk from Byers Organic Dairy

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture warns consumers to discard Byers Organic Dairy raw milk bought between July 8-10, 2025, with sell-by dates July 22-23, 2025. Routine testing confirmed contamination with Shigatoxin-producing E. coli. The milk, sold in half-gallon and gallon plastic containers, was available at the farm’s store in Mercersburg, Franklin County, PA. The store has removed the milk but cannot provide a customer list.
