CT grocery stores impose egg limits amid shortages related to bird flu

The recent resurgence in bird flu is not only driving up the price of eggs but also leaving some supermarkets shelves bare.

Facing limited egg supply, some major Connecticut-based supermarkets have started imposing fresh egg item limits on customers. Wayne Pesce, president of the Connecticut Food Association, said he believes this strategy could help deter panic buying.
