Blueberry Recall Elevated to Highest Level Due to Listeria Contamination

The FDA has issued a Class 1 recall—its highest-level warning—after Alma Pak International recalled 400 boxes of 30-lb organic blueberries due to Listeria contamination. The blueberries, shipped to a North Carolina customer, tested positive for Listeria in two lots. Alma Pak claims the product was recovered before hitting store shelves, posing no public risk. Listeria can be serious, so seek medical attention if exposed.
