Whole Foods tells customers of ‘temporary supply challenges’ after cyberattack leaves shelves bare

Whole Foods told staff to downplay bare shelves after a cyberattack hit its main distributor, UNFI. The company blamed “temporary supply challenges” while an internal memo admitted the breach hurt its ability to select and ship products. Shoppers across several stores found aisles increasingly empty. The memo warned of delivery delays and reduced availability. UNFI supplies over 30,000 retailers and is restoring systems after the attack.
