Whole Foods’ primary distributor forced to shut down its systems after a major cyberattack

United Natural Foods (UNFI), a major health food wholesaler and primary distributor for Whole Foods, took some systems offline after a cyberattack. UNFI identified unauthorized activity on June 5 and contacted law enforcement. The attack is causing temporary disruptions to business operations. UNFI is working to restore systems while investigating. Whole Foods, owned by Amazon, has not yet commented on the impact.
