“So I’m making stuffed bell peppers for dinner—non-organic, since my parents can’t afford organic. I soaked them in hot water (no vinegar) and noticed a strong chemical smell, like burnt rubber. It was pretty pungent if you’re mindful of it. Could this be glyphosate? Or something in the pepper’s genetics? Got them from HEB. Can you share this with your members to see if anyone else has noticed the same thing?”
