Consumer complaint about metal pieces sparks recall of kielbasa sausages

Following a consumer complaint, Olympia Provisions of Portland, OR, is recalling 1,930 pounds of ready-to-eat Uncured Holiday Kielbasa due to possible metal contamination, according to USDA FSIS. The sausages were produced on Oct. 14 and sold in 16-oz vacuum-sealed packages marked “Best if Used By 02/19/26” with establishment number EST. 39928. Products were shipped to retailers in CA, OR, and WA and sold nationwide online. Consumers should not eat the product.
