Hoping to find ID inside, the fire chief opened it and instead found a tiny pocket Bible inscribed with a name and dated May 12, 1997. Curious, the chief and his wife searched online and eventually located Amanda Clotz, a former Oakdale resident. After being contacted, Clotz confirmed the Bible was hers, lost nearly three decades ago, now returned through pure chance.
