Needed some firewood.
This is where skills and experience comes into play in the real world.
Skint, so…..
Had a good walk around the land and identified dead wood, left the rotten and green wood.
Cut into stove size pieces and remembered that BK2 sent over from Canada by a good friend of mine @paul_buikema
His comment upon receiving it was “beat the hell out of it”
So here it is. I chose this knife for 3 reasons.
1. It’s strong enough
2. It’s thick and is great for splitting
3. It’s Comfortable in the hand
The fire will be more successful due to the wood being split.
There’s a reason why these skills come in handy.
They are needed now, more than ever.
In the financial situation I’m in, I’m actually living off of my stored prep foods and keeping warm with finding dead wood that’s ready to burn.
Just the basics we should all be grateful for.
