The golden rule of water conservation in an emergency: Never waste a drop

When SHTF, water is life. One gallon/day per person won’t cut it—hot weather, hygiene, and gardening demand more. Wasting water can lead to disease, pests, and crop failure. Reuse greywater (from dishes, showers, laundry) for cleaning and plants. Avoid blackwater. Fix leaks fast—small drips waste thousands of gallons yearly. Store plenty, but more importantly—never waste a drop. Recycle every drop like your life depends on it—because it does.
