Connecticut’s weather is heating up. After a warm spring, the 2025 summer is expected to bring above-normal temps. Since 1895, the state’s average temperature has steadily risen, and experts forecast a 5°F increase by 2050. In 2024, it was the second warmest year on record—2°F above the 1991–2020 average. The number of 90°F+ days surged 52% over historical norms, with four heatwaves between June and August. Rising temps, more droughts, and extreme rain events are expected.
