Supply chain risk pulse 2025: Tariffs reshuffle global trade priorities

Tariffs have become the dominant supply-chain risk in 2025. After years of disruptions from COVID-19 and global conflicts, a survey of 100 global supply-chain leaders found that 82% are now impacted by new tariffs, affecting 20–40% of their operations. Nearly 40% reported higher supplier and material costs, while 30% saw reduced customer demand. U.S.-linked supply chains were hit hardest, especially in consumer goods, where tariffs affected 43% of activities.
