Despite a city ban on Jan. 1, 2022, glyphosate and other prohibited pesticides are still being sold at seven Rona stores in Montreal, Radio-Canada reports. Mayor Valérie Plante warns that retail outlets caught selling banned products, including Roundup, will face stiff fines. The ban covers 39 pesticides, totaling over 100 products, yet at least one banned herbicide remains easily available to consumers.
