Say Hello to Big Seed

Over the past decade, the U.S. seed market has rapidly consolidated. The top six biotech chemical companies have merged and acquired smaller seed firms, shrinking to just three dominant players. These giants now control nearly two-thirds of the global seed and pesticide market. Bayer’s takeover of Monsanto alone gives it control of roughly 25% of the world’s seed supply. This level of control raises serious concerns about biodiversity, farmer independence, and global food security.
