Saskatchewan volunteer firefighter who set 30 fires in a month sentenced for arson

Former volunteer firefighter Logan Sieben has been sentenced to probation and community service after pleading guilty to arson causing property damage. Sieben, a member of the Macklin & District Fire Department in western Saskatchewan, admitted to setting hay bales on fire last summer. Between July 28 and Aug. 25, 2024, the department responded to 20 such fires. Macklin is located about 250 kilometres west of Saskatoon.
