“Just wanted to give you and the community a quick heads-up—I was at Canadian Tire in Winnipeg recently and noticed a shortage of canning jars and lids. Shelves were pretty bare, and staff said stock has been coming in slowly and selling out fast.
If you’re planning to do any canning this summer, my advice is simple: if you see them—buy them right away. Don’t wait, because they might not be there later. With ongoing supply issues and more people turning to home preservation, it’s best to stay ahead.
