Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods LLC of Richmond, VA, is recalling four varieties of decorated pound cakes due to an undeclared soy allergen. A soy-containing cake release agent was used during production, but soy was not listed on the labels. Soy allergies can cause reactions ranging from mild hives to severe anaphylaxis. All affected products have a best-by date of Dec. 15 and were sold at Kroger Mid-Atlantic locations in Virginia and West Virginia, and at Ukrop’s Market Hall in Richmond, VA.
