More patients found in outbreak traced to cucumbers; 21 states now involved

Despite the CDC declaring the Salmonella Montevideo outbreak linked to fresh cucumbers over, cases continue to rise. As of June 30, 69 people across 21 states have been infected, with 22 hospitalized. Of the 35 patients interviewed, 29 reported eating cucumbers before falling ill. Public health officials are still monitoring the situation and tracing the source.
