Newton Public Schools in Massachusetts will require all students to be vaccinated before the fall 2025 school year unless they have a valid medical or religious exemption. Superintendent Anna Nolin announced this following a rise in chickenpox cases. Since 2020, over 182 students attended without required vaccinations, including 42 not fully vaccinated against measles. Unvaccinated students without exemptions will be excluded from school.
