Maybe you’re like us and want a peaceful life of freedom and independence in the country.

When we lived in the city that is exactly what we dreamed of. In the city were dependent on someone else to provide us with everything we needed, like electricity, water, and food. We knew that if any one of those systems failed we would be stuck and need someone to rescue us.

So, we packed up our family and moved to a 7-acre piece of raw land in North Idaho.

We’re just regular middle-class folks with very little practical experience in building, gardening, or raising animals. But, we were willing to give it a shot and couldn’t be happier with our decision.

If inexperienced people like us can become debt-free and find a peaceful life of freedom and independence in the country, so can you. We’ll show you how by sharing the skills and tips needed to make the move through our inspirational videos.

Our Mission

Our mission with this Blog and our YouTube channel is to encourage, educate and entertain you through our experiences along this journey. We hope that as you watch normal folks with little experience build a modern homestead you will be encouraged to start your own journey.

We want to be as helpful and transparent as possible. Therefore, we are sharing not only our successes but also our failures and mistakes. Which, if you watch our construction videos you will see plenty of!
