Legault warns radical Islam threatens Quebec’s values

Quebec Premier François Legault and his minister for secularism have issued a stark warning about the growing influence of radical Islamist groups, urging citizens to “wake up” to threats against Quebec’s core values. Speaking before the National Assembly, Legault defended the province’s principles of state secularism and gender equality, saying extremist movements are attempting to undermine the cultural and moral foundations that define modern Quebec.
