Kraft Heinz joins other companies in moving away from artificial food dyes

Kraft Heinz will eliminate artificial dyes from its U.S. products by the end of 2027 and stop launching new products with them. Nearly 90% of its U.S. items are already dye-free. The move follows a request by HHS Secretary RFK Jr. and FDA Commissioner Makary for companies to phase out dyes by year’s end. Kraft Heinz is the fifth major company to respond, joining PepsiCo, Danone, TreeHouse Foods, and Tyson—all pledging to remove synthetic colors but without firm timelines.
