A new 79-page report reveals alarming stats on child health in the U.S.: Over 40% of kids have a chronic condition. Childhood obesity has jumped 270% since the 1970s, now affecting over 1 in 5 children. Autism affects 1 in 31, and childhood cancer is up 40% since 1975. In 2022, 1 in 4 teen girls had a major depressive episode. Suicide is the second leading cause of teen death, and 75% of 17–24-year-olds are unfit for military service due to obesity, fitness, or mental health issues.
