An analysis of a Japanese database of 18 million people shows that those who received COVID-19 vaccines had a significantly higher risk of death in the first year after vaccination compared to the unvaccinated. The data is large but not yet peer-reviewed, and further analysis is needed, says CHD Senior Research Scientist Karl Jablonowski.
