Corn earworms don’t like flavonoids
You’ve seen the commercials. Cartoonish bugs are chowing down, and then a giant, humanized spray can approaches the bugs, casting a shadow. The can sprays the bugs, and they roll over dead. Researchers at Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences are attempting to turn that cartoonish ad into reality in the cornfield.
