Report from the Prepper Watchman:
Every spring, I pick up fruit trees from our local conservation district’s tree sale—still a great deal at about $100 for five trees. Over the years, I’ve planted apples, peaches, pears, plums, cherries, strawberries, hazelnuts, and elderberries. The apple and peach trees, planted first, are now producing sweet, delicious fruit. This year, I’m hoping for enough peaches to can or make preserves—though honestly, they’re so good fresh off the tree it’s hard to wait!
