FEDERAL COURT APPROVES PERMISSION TO INVADE FARM LAND – Sheriff says “Not on my soil”

A federal court has ruled that developers of the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project can enter private land in Baltimore, Carroll, and Frederick counties to conduct surveys—despite landowner objections. Judge Adam B. Abelson said PSEG “qualifies as an entity having the power of eminent domain.” The order allows entry with 24 hours’ notice but not construction. Local police refused to enforce access. Dozens of landowners and county officials are appealing to block PSEG’s pre-CPCN entry rights.
