The FDA has upgraded a tomato recall in GA, NC, and SC to Class 1—the highest level—due to potential salmonella contamination. Williams Farms Repack tomatoes were distributed April 23–28. No illnesses yet, but consumers are urged to return or toss them. Salmonella can be serious, especially for the young, elderly, or immunocompromised. Be alert. Check your stockpiles and notify your community.
