Two-thirds of immigrants with taxpayer-funded immigration loans weren’t making minimum payments on $150M in outstanding debt, despite zero interest and generous terms. As of March 31, 2023, only 36% were making minimum payments — a steep drop since before the pandemic, according to Access to Information records obtained by True North.
