Pro-fluoridation researchers published a study warning that it would cost Americans $9.8 billion to treat the 25.4 million cavities that would result if cities and states stopped fluoridating drinking water. Fluoride experts said the study ignores the costs associated with lower IQs and neurological damage linked to water fluoridation.
