A bill to recognize a national livestock brand will soon reach the House of Commons. It honors farmers, ranchers, indigenous peoples, and others who helped build Canada. Damien Kurek, a Conservative MP and fifth-generation farmer, introduced a similar bill but is resigning his seat to let Pierre Poilievre run in a byelection. MPs Michael Chong and Steven Bonk will introduce the new bill. Kurek looks forward to spending more time farming.
