With a reputation for producing high-quality queens at affordable prices, Alabama, Mississippi,
and Georgia have historically been known as prominent queen and package producing areas. Though
queen production is still an important component of beekeeping in the Southeast, hobby beekeeping,
providing pollination, and gardening beekeeping are also important in this area.
