As an amateur naturalist, I’ve always accepted the old maxim that advises, “If you don’t bother it, it won’t bother you.” So I went happily about my business, feeling mildly sorry for all the small-bodied, long-legged spiders that were devoured by my vacuum cleaner each week, but otherwise leaving them alone.
