At least six people died and portions of the Rio Grande Valley are still under water a week after unprecedented torrential rains pummeled the four-county area.
Additionally, hundreds of people required rescue from quick-rising floodwaters, and one EF0 tornado touched down in the region as nearly two dozen inches of rain fell between March 26 and 28, according to an after-incident summary report published by the National Weather Service-Brownsville.
