Air Canada begins cancelling flights ahead of potential strike

Canada’s largest airline, Air Canada, began suspending flights Thursday after flight attendants’ union issued a 72-hour strike notice. CUPE, representing 10,000 attendants, cited unresolved contract issues including wages and unpaid work. Suspensions will continue through the strike, affecting up to 130,000 passengers daily. Air Canada urges travelers without confirmed flights to avoid going to the airport.
