🌮 Homemade Flour Tortillas (Simple & Fast!)

Flour tortillas are one of the easiest and quickest breads you can make at home. No yeast, no special equipment, very little kneading, and just a short rest time. Once you try them fresh, it’s hard to go back to store-bought.

🧂 Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup warm water
3 tbsp oil or melted butter
🥣 Directions
1️⃣ Mix the dry ingredients
In a bowl, combine the flour and salt.

2️⃣ Add liquids
Pour in the warm water and oil (or melted butter). Mix until it forms a soft dough.

3️⃣ Knead briefly
Knead for 2–3 minutes until smooth. It doesn’t need much.

4️⃣ Rest the dough
Cover and let it rest for about 10–15 minutes. This makes rolling easier.

5️⃣ Divide & roll
Cut into 8–10 small balls. Roll each one thin on a lightly floured surface.

6️⃣ Cook
Heat a dry pan over medium-high heat. Cook each tortilla about 30–60 seconds per side until lightly browned and puffed.

🧈 Butter adds extra flavor, oil makes them softer
🔥 Hot pan = better bubbles and texture
🥶 Store extras in the fridge or freeze for later
