“Hey everyone, just wanted to share a heads-up I learned recently: China owns or holds big stakes in many U.S. food and beverage brands you probably have at home—like Smithfield Foods, Amore meats, Nathan’s Famous hot dogs, Filippo Berio olive oil, and even Vitco and Voss water. Smithfield alone controls tons of U.S. farmland for pork. This raises real concerns about national security and food supply. It’s important we stay aware of where our food comes from and what that means”
