About Our Family Farm
Our farm stands as a testament to seven generations of dedicated stewardship in the heart of Stouffville. Since 1845, our family has nurtured this cherished land, embracing a profound agricultural legacy.
Seeking refuge from the Irish potato famine, the Simpson family journeyed to these fertile grounds, commencing a journey that would shape our identity. Originally dairy farmers, our focus shifted in 1983 when Larry Simpson founded Simpson Produce/Simpson Family Farms. From that pivotal moment, we became renowned for our expertise in growing exceptional potatoes.

Each vegetable in our box is carefully hand-planted and hand-picked exclusively for our farm box. This hands-on approach ensures that every piece of produce meets our high standards for quality and freshness.
We take great pride in the quality and freshness of our produce. The majority of our vegetables are picked on the same day or within 24 hours of delivery, guaranteeing that you receive the freshest and most flavorful ingredients.
If there are any items we don’t grow ourselves, we have established personal relationships with other local farms to source them. This commitment to supporting local farmers reinforces the importance of locally grown food and strengthens our community.
We believe that you will notice a distinct difference in the taste of our produce. The care and attention we put into cultivating and harvesting our vegetables contribute to their exceptional flavor, allowing you to truly savor the difference.
